The programme areas

2003-2006
| In accordance with the DEFF strategy in 2003 six programme areas have been established as a framework for those ativities designed to realize the vision of DEFF. The programme areas include an extended cooperation on the content that the research libraries offer the end users - Licenses, Digitisation, and E-publishing. Furthermore three programme areas have been established with focus on the content's technical frame - System architecture, Portals and E-learning - plus a programme area that focuses on accessibility and user-friendliness for the end user - User facilities.
 The programme committies that plan and carry out the main part of the tangible activities within DEFF/programme areas.
The programme areas consist of a number of development projects and tasks within IT, research, education and library development. The general purpose of these activities is to improve the use of IT in terms of support to research and education. The projects must contribute to the realization of the vision of DEFF and be in accordance with the mission of DEFF.
